What
is INDISCO 7? 7th INDISCO [Industrial Design Seminar & Competition] is a product
design competition held by HMTI UNDIP. In this year, our theme is "Children's
Product". INDISCO is not only about design competition, we also held a
seminar as part of the event.
Should
I become an Industrial Engineering first, to participate in INDISCO 7? Of
course not, this event is open for ALL MAJORS.
In
this year, INDISCO 7 is going to ASEAN level. Even though the payment is
in USD currency, participants from Indonesia still able to pay the registration
fee in IDR based on the currency level on the payment day.
So,

Industrial Design Seminar & Competition (INDISCO)
Industrial
Design Seminar & Competition (INDISCO) is a product design based
competition which also involves seminar which is held by Himpunan Mahasiswa
Teknik Industri (HMTI), Fakultas Teknik Universitas Diponegoro. INDISCO
was held in 2009 for the very first time and this year is the seventh event of INDISCO.
We invite participants from different universities in Indonesia and overseas as
well, especially South East Asia, either state universities or non-state
(private) universities, to participate in 7th INDISCO which
takes a theme Children’s Product “Fun, Functional and Fabulous Product Design
for Children’s World” for the Product Design Competition”.
The
purpose of this competition is to
develop university student’s creativity and innovation in designing product for
6-12 years old children as the part
of creative industry and to tighten teamwork. The innovation that is expected
is to make a comfortable and good designed product for kids so it can compete
in the global world.Generally, the competition consists of 2 steps, which are Step
1 (Proposal Selection) and Step 2 (Presentation).
General
Provision of INDISCO 7 are :
1. The 7th INDISCO participants are teams which
consist of 2-3 students from the same university and still active until
November 2015.
2. One team may consist of students who take different
disciplines/ majors.
3. Prototype/ product design is product which is relevant to
the theme, creative, innovative, original, compatible, aesthetic, and it has
core benefit.
4. The registered teams are obligated to send product ownership
and authenticaion letter that has been enclosed by stamp or cap.
The scoring of the design includes
the scoring of proposal, presentation, prototype and animation. The scoring
criteria is based on :
a. The design relevance to the competition theme (10%)
b. Product design originality (10%)
c. Product planning and identifying customer needs (20%)
d. Product spesification and concept generation (20%)
e. Product Architecture (10%)
f. Industrial Design (20%)
g. Design for Manufacturing (10%)
